Kenyatta International Conference Centre

Why is this building interesting? Adapting local hut concepts to a contemporary context, the KICC is both aesthetically pleasing and uniquely Kenyan. It is designed by Karl Henrik Nøstvik.

I&M Bank Tower

Year: 2001 Use: Commercial  
Why is this building interesting? Described as one of Kenya’s western skyscrapers, I&M is a dramatic blue and stands as a 19 story high rise which was built on highest of quality construction standards

Alan Donovan’s Heritage Home

Year: 1994
Use: Residential
Why is this building interesting?: African Heritage House reflects the usage of traditional African materials such mud and thatch, constructed in new and innovate ways. It was conceptualized by Alan Donovan and designed in collaboration with David Bristow.
