Why is this building interesting? This building is one of the first to accommodate Indian railway labourers, during colonial times.

Residential Why is this building interesting? 95 Limuru Road is aesthetically beautiful; harmony is found in the proportions between the columns and the terrace and in the spacing between the windows. It is a good example of Kenyan Art Deco architecture.

Why is this building interesting?: African Heritage House reflects the usage of traditional African materials such mud and thatch, constructed in new and innovate ways. It was conceptualized by Alan Donovan and designed in collaboration with David Bristow.

- Uniquely Kenyan or African architecture
- High quality construction and/or use of innovative technology
- Representative of the work of a noteworthy architect
